![]() Install EVE into a location where other files exist (or will) by changing the install path.Happy to investigate further, but I would need more information to try and reproduce.Įdit - the only way I can cause accidental deletion of files is to do the following: The exception is Steam, which has an area it will install under. I downloaded a few installers of common software and this seems to be normal. ![]() The text file I added before install remained after installation: ĮVE doesn't use a subdirectory, as it gives the absolute path to where the files will be contained. I then repeated the same process on a non-system drive (E: in this case). This does remove any files in the installation directory but includes a red warning about the install directory being deleted, along with the contents: I then followed the same process but tried the root of C:\ drive - which it didn't allow: The text file remains and is not removed as part of the installation process. Installed EVE (well, the launcher files).Pointed the installer to the location above.I am unable to reproduce the installer deleting any existing files on installation in the way described. I just want to be clear - I'm not part of the launcher team, but had some spare time this evening, so wanted to test this and file a defect.
